Bittersweet Field Day 2016 for our little Wildcat! This was Mason's 3rd field day & his last one at the current (old) Westpark! So exciting to be moving to a new school this next year but will definitely miss all of the fun memories. :)

How is this possible he has changed so much?! From the beginning of 2nd grade to the spring semester ... this boy is losing his baby face & gaining an attitude with it!! :)

Dress Your Dream

Dress Your Dream Day at School in honor of cancer & a lost teacher from our campus who died too young, leaving behind twin 5 yr old boys, & a mark on the school's heart for life. Mason met her when he enrolled for K & could have possibly had her as his teacher. Her cancer relapsed & she was unable to sustain well enough health to continue to teach. Months of treatments & her body gave up the long fight. Mrs. Baganz has been remembered all week at Westpark. xo

2nd Grade Field Trip-Stock Show

Daddy got to take a day off & tag along with Mason on his field trip last week to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. This is a BIG event in our city. EVERYONE participates & visits the stockshow. This was the first year Mason got to go with the school. He enjoyed it. Getting to pet all of the animals was his favorite. :)

I decided to dress as an Elf this year when hosting Mason's school party! Well... Jason thought it would be appropriate for him to follow. :) We had such a fun time with it!!

Caught Being Good Winner!

Mason's school has a new incentive this year for rewarding good behavior ... every time a student is caught being good, they get their name in a drawing. Mason won this last week's drawing & his teacher sent me this cute photo!! (This was taken the day they got to wear costumes to school for reaching their walkathon goal) So proud of our big guy!

Mason's First Day of 2nd Grade!

First day of 2nd grade in the books! Wow. Hard to believe our oldest little guy is in 2nd grade already! I asked him how his first day went & his response "It was Wonderful!" I am so happy for a new year. Last year was rough .. new teacher .. poor communication .. hard transition from the wonderful Kindergarten year we had the year before. This year Mason will have 4 teachers. He is in Mrs. Brown's homeroom class - we are so thankful! While he is missing a few of his favorite buds & gal pals, he gets to reunite with a few buds from his K class, he's happy. :) All of his teachers are great & we're super excited for a new year. Here's to a fabulous 2nd grade at Westpark!
