Mason's 1st & Last day of 1st Grade!

Our little man has completed first grade. WOW! These past 2 school years have flown by to say the least. He had a great year. He is sad to leave his teachers. He really loved having a few of his favorite buddies from last year in his class again. Despite Jason & I NOT caring for his teachers, he had no idea & loved it every day. Having a first year teacher - one that would treat kids differently - someone who would look you in the face while lying to you - & a teacher that did not show any communication with parents .... made for a rough year, for Jason & I. We are so happy it is over! :)

Westpark Groundbreaking

Finally - after all the rain cleared up, FWISD hosted its groundbreaking for the new Westpark Elem! We are SO excited for the new school!! Opening in 2016 - Ayden will be the FIRST Kindergarten class at the new school. Fun fun times ahead!

Annual FWISD Walk

We got to participate this year in the annual district walk --- yes, before we had to rush over to 2 soccer games ! :) The weather was drizzly, the boys were in good moods, the track felt great. We did our part & walked - walked - walked!

5th Six weeks Reward

Westpark always honors their volunteers each year with a special luncheon! This year's theme was SUPERHEROS!! The boys were right in their element for sure. :) I was happy to take the littles with me & enjoy some of the delish food the teachers prepared for us volunteers. Thankful to be a part of such a wonderful school!!

Mason's sleepover ;)

Mason invited 2 buddies from class over for a sleepover... they had a blast! Riding bikes, climbing our tree, eating pizza & banana splits, having pancakes for breakfast & getting to stay up "all night" was a truly awesome time for these little dudes! Mason has been friends with Ryley since kindergarten & they are in the same class again. He & Dylan are in the same class this year - the same scout den - & play soccer together. Sweet sweet boys!!

Folk Dancing with Mason

Mason participated in his class Folk Dance performance at school. He danced some solo & some with a sweet little girl. His music teacher did a great job incorporating different cultures into class!

Sock Hop '15

This year's Westpark Sock Hop was last night & the big boys had a blast! Henry & I missed this year's fun but we'll be there next year for sure. Spring Break craziness & our home floor project has left me very busy the past 2 weeks ..... So happy Daddy & his big boys had a great time! Love these handsome guys!

Valentine's Sweetness '2015

Valentines with kiddos is an all week affair! Totally fun though & we wouldn't change it for the world!
Little guys got to celebrate in our PAT Class - Ayden got to have a party at Preschool - Mason got to celebrate in his class party. Being room Mom for Mason, I plan some pretty fun parties! :)) Each kiddo had unique treats to share, I made some fun personalized drinks & snacks for each party, & created an awesome vday bingo to play at Mason's party. Even Ayden & Henry took part in Mason's party & had a really fun time. Cupid even delivered some really special treats to the boys with a heart pancake breakfast when they woke up on valentines day. Daddy spoiled me all week with something small & very sweet each day. On Friday, he had me picked up & taken to a girls night out with some friends. Super thoughtful hubby to say the least! Hearts everywhere ..... LOVE! xoxo

Mason's 3rd Six Weeks Reward Dinner

Mason's 3rd Six Weeks Reward Dinner! He had all Excellent + A's & a 90 (which is now considered a B) --- but to us, he did a great job!! He gets to choose dinner of his choice each six weeks when he has a good report card.... this time was Logan's Roadhouse. Yummy! Kids love to throw peanuts on the floor. I love their honey butter & rolls & usually pack a dozen in my to go bag!!

Mason's 1st 5K - Some like it cold!

Mason & Jason are members of WP Running Club & they participated in their first event  "Some Like it Cold 5k". What a great experience for them!! Mason actually placed 4th in his age group but could easily be in the top couple. ;))

Mason's Winter Party '14

Mason's Winter Party - I love being room mom!! The kiddos decorated snowflake ornaments that I made them. They were so involved with these. Some kiddos created beautiful ornaments!! They also got to create their own snowman snack... fun fun!!

German Gingerbread Man

Mason was given a gingerbread man in social studies class & asked to choose a different country & describe this country using the little guy. We got creative. I looked into a website that was provided & he chose Germany. Why, I'm not really sure! Maybe he liked the colors. :) Ha! Needless to say - it was very interesting reading about it. We researched & made notes on all things Christmas in Germany. He took our notes & got busy creating his crafty gingerbread man!

Germans love Christmas. They eat goose & carp. They have glass ornaments on their tree & candles in their windows. If you're bad, you get twigs in your shoe. They use an Advent Calendar to count down their days till Christmas like Americans do.

First grade to the zoo!

The first grade took a field trip to the ZOO! The zoo is one of Mason's favorite places to go ... he got to ride a BUS ... and he hung out with his friends all day! He had a great field trip. :)

Carley's Mom is Jason's 5th Gr Team Teacher - the kids have known each other since they were almost 2. They are in the same class this year. :)
