Willow Tree Memories

Have you ever seen Willow Trees? Oh how I am in love with these special, crafty, creations that I have been collecting for years. Each figurine carries a different name & meaning... of course I've named & given mine their very own special definition.
{Mommy & Me} is the newest addition to our family! My sweet hubby surprised me one day with this pregnant Mama to signify our new bundle of joy on the way. :) (We did not see or even know if they made this one when I got prego with Mason)

My collection thus far... each with it's own special meaning!
{Our 1st Dance} was another surprise for me from my sweet hubby! He picked it out all on his own, had it taken to Maui by a friend, & then placed on our wedding cake as the cake topper. Wow, how creative & sweet, right?!
{Best Friends} were my very first to collect. They were given to me probably 8-9 years ago from a dear friend who got them for my birthday.
{Mommy & Me} is my newest addition as mentioned above.
{Daddy & Mason} was a special Father's Day gift for my sweet hubby on his 1st Father's Day!
{Mommy & Mason} was a special Mother's Day gift from my sweet hubby on my 1st Mother's Day!
{Our New Family} was our last addition to express our love for our new little Mason & our blessed little family!
I love collecting these special Willow Trees, all of them. Aren't they so unique?! :)

{Cute as a Bug} Baby Shower!

I had the honor & the joy of hosting a baby shower for our dear friend, Abbie. She is expecting a little girl & her nursery is ladybugs...so what would be cuter than a ladybug shower?! I took the pink & brown theme to the extreme & made most everything handmade & homemade, cute & crafty! I enjoyed this party planning so much that I will be offering my creations to others as a supplement to Fresh Bakers Dozen cookies. :~)

So, here is how I got it all toghether:

Grab a double edition of the Sun. paper so you get double the coupons!
Clip, Clip, Clip! I even clipped things I typically don't buy. There are always freebies so I may use something, thats free that I usually wouldn't. :)
I grabbed supplies I had in stash: binder, dividers, cards, & had to purchase a pkg. of baseball card sleeves at Wal-Mart. ($5 for 35 sheets!)
I organized my book with dividers for each category I shop by: detergent, paper supplies, baby, frozen, dairy, etc. I slid a card in each slot of the baseball card sheets to keep the pockets stiff & allow coupons on both sides, great idea!
My finished product! It works fabulous. After shopping, getting more coupons, etc.; I redid a few tabs to be more suitable for my needs.
I have used my organized coupon book, Teri's list, the latest sale ads, & enjoyed planning our week of meals around the specials while saving lots of money! It was fun anticipating the new sales & seeing what I could get for LESS. Click here to check out the Grocery Game & if you sign up, use my email as a reference. :) I signed up for only $1 for the first four weeks; why not try it & see how much you can save. Just remember to shop around the sales & specials, & grab those freebies!!!

One for the girls.

I received this an email today & thought it was too funny not to share!
Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my shape to keep.
Please no wrinkles, Please no bags And please lift my butt before it sags.
Please no age spots, Please no gray And as for my belly, Please take it away.
Please keep me healthy, Please keep me young, And thank you Dear Lord, For all that you've done.
Five tips for a woman....
1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job..
2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.
3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to You.
4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.
5. It is important that these four men don't know each other.

UPDATE: Ok, I think I got it all changed up now... always fixing things up! :) Let me know how I did!

I'm feeling so crafty & in the mood to organize so I've been working on some new Harvest themed items around the house, sure to share with you later. But for now I'm off to tackle Extreme Closet Make-Over in our office, a project I hate to start but really needs to be done. TaTa!

If you notice errors, our blog is undergoing some "maintenance" so please be patient! I'm working on an update to the layout & should have it finished soon.... stay tuned! :)
